Most pieces I make aim to comment on a topic or issue by bringing together ordinary objects that together symbolize deeper meanings. I also like to use foreground, middle ground, and background to get a sense of depth that delivers both complexity and a visual digestibility.
I make art mostly with pencils, watercolor, and acrylic paints, though I sometimes use ink as well. I draw inspiration from impressionism for its texture and modern art for its form, but I also appreciate the grittiness in the penmanship often seen in Japanese horror manga. Most of my subject matter is drawn from my life experiences and observations.
