This year in my senior art class I have spent a lot of time working on pieces that reflect how I view myself. This piece is a continuation of that theme, examining my own identity. I have produced a series of self-portraits, this piece being one of them, each made from photographs I take myself. When making my pieces I stick only to neutrals and try to stay as true to life as possible. I also focus on brush work and try to include fine details whenever possible. This piece is a culmination of these techniques and themes, with the aim of capturing a version of my true self and presenting it.
