This painting shows how I feel when things get super stressful or anxious. I came up with the idea on a really tough day when I was freaking out about a scholarship. All I wanted was to hide and not deal with all the overwhelming feelings. 

In the painting, the girl is me, floating on an island that's falling apart. The island represents my world breaking down, and the black void around it is the stress and anxiety that I'm trying to hide from. The artwork is my way of expressing what it's like to deal with intense stress and anxiety and how I try to cope with it.
