My name is Zane Nichols and I am a transgender artist who’s been creating since second grade. At the beginning of my art journey I found art of my favorite games to be delightful, and I wished to imitate what I saw.

This piece was meant to be a love letter to the people of my past with a darker twist. I cannot remember anything about them, and it got me thinking about how you can romanticize people from your past while not remembering their faces, or believing in their facade.

The character herself is an amalgamation of traits I remember from all of them, but the Polaroids are scrapped and distorted because I simply don’t remember who they are anymore.
