This piece of art displays a place based in my town but is made from my imagination. The skatepark usually gets a bad reputation and many of the people that go there will tag a small piece of the park. In this piece I decided to not add any graffiti because I want to convey the message that the appearance of a place cannot define the people there.

The inspiration for this artwork is Yuto Horigome, the winner of the Skateboarding Olympics of summer 2020. However, my love for the art of skateboarding was the main inspiration. The art of learning how to fly, as well as fall.

This artwork is very different from what I would usually do. This year was the first time I’ve done artwork in 3D. The metal work of Yuto was my first try at anything in 3D. There was something very refreshing and different about being able to physically touch and move your art. This piece opened my world to a whole new level of art.
