This art piece was inspired by Kewpie Babies. I went for a fairly “messy” love inspired look and finished it off with silk flowers to give it more of a romantic feel. I like to imagine this character as a little baby Cupid of some sort, who spreads love. I also wanted to stick to similar colors so I kept with a very warm theme using only reds, pinks, and beiges. My favorite feature of this painting and character are Cupid’s pigtails, I find them absolutely adorable. Another thing I love about this painting is the silk flowers that I have applied to the canvas. To me it adds a certain je ne sais quoi.
