Karina Camargo, Two in Blues, graphite and acrylic, $300

This art piece Two in Blues was inspired by the photograph Vera Fokina & Michel Fokine in Ballets Russes' Le Carnaval from 1910. I wanted to demonstrate the art of ballet in a drawing that shows two individuals in love, portraying a saddened expression, for they are performers. The two performers get to convey certain feelings and give an experience to the audience based on their pose and facial expressions. I thought the photograph was beautiful  representing what the love of two people can become when intertwined with the same passion. A ballerina and a jester with the blues.
