This piece is about the feelings of not knowing who is staring back at you when you see yourself in the mirror. When dealing with the feelings of emptiness, dissociation, and sadness, you feel like stone. Hard and hollow, difficult to break through. In this state of mind, when looking at oneself, it's the sense of wonder of who exactly is looking back at you. It’s as if the person staring isn't truly a person, or at least not the person you are. A total stranger, staring back at you, with a mind so foggy that you cannot realize that the person is you, the shell holding your soul and giving you a face. Shattered, broken glass like the lost parts of reality and self. Who are you? Why are you wearing my face? Are you real? You aren’t me, you mustn’t be, because I do not know who I truly am anymore.
