Joseph Andrade, The Chosen One, acrylic, $80

This art piece represents the battle within yourself. There are always two sides to the subconscious: the good and the bad. The person in the painting has no face as it represents all of humanity. The colors also coincide with one another– battling from light to dark with a person in the middle with no face. The wings are many colors for all nations and all people of different origin, ethnicity and color. The brown coat reminds me of the old classic religious look. The crown represents the domination and king on both sides of the painting–the light and dark.
