Rafael Ayala, Night City 2077, acrylic, $200

My painting, "Night City 2077" is about a video game that I fell in love with instantly, "Cyberpunk 2077." I liked the design of the game and the futuristic feel to the artwork. I enjoyed painting and trying to recreate my experiences with this game.
I am currently in AP Art Studio at Soledad High School. I recently worked on a project called "Huelga" which was about the Farmworkers' Movement with Cesar Chavez and Delores Huerta. In this piece, I chose to paint a picture of the Virgin of Guadalupe in acrylic on fruit boxes. The installation was up in our school auditorium. I am also actively working on my drawings and continue to paint on my own and in class.
I thoroughly enjoyed working on this project for the Carmel Art Association and I am very excited to show my work in the gallery.
