Tessa Rava

My piece is inspired by my drive to school. I am lucky enough to be able to drive along the coast on my way to school and get a good view of the ocean. I often feel anxious before school and worry about a test or quiz or presentation that I might have but when I look out to the coastline, I immediately feel calm. It reminds me of the simplicities in life and that even if I fail a quiz, I'll still have the ocean waiting for me. I always find the ocean beautiful whether it is a calm sunny day or a violent storm. In my painting, I wanted to capture the feeling that I get when I look out to the shore.
