Tiah McClair

My art has opened my eyes that I am a person who makes art with intense passion and emotion. When I'm creating, I feel connectedness and freedom. Growing up I was surrounded by my father's artworks. I was truly inspired to become just as good as him and put in true efforts. Besides my fathers artworks, expressionism played a big part of inspiration as well as surrealism. When brought together it brings in freedom, peace, creativity, and joy. I chose acrylic paint because it allows me to do my best and express things the way I want.

Throughout my life I have always wanted to show how I feel and see things through my artwork. Azure is the name which is another word for blue. It’s another world that is to be home for many creatures. Many things are called home no matter the shape, size, looks, and location. Azure might be seen as just another place although it is not. Some people see things as ugly or in bad condition but to others it’s beautiful and perfect. It goes to show that no matter what things look like or seem, it can mean more to someone else. Azure is known for dependability, serendipity, and calmness. Home is found in many odd places but is contained with beauty and individuality. I hope my words and art may inspire and resonate with others. Although my meaning may not resonate with everyone, there is a message that I hope gets truly understood.
