My piece discovers the highlights of women's struggles. I use an amanita mushroom head in place of what would be a human head. I choose this approach to create a blurring imagery between the organic and human world while depicting a woman being trapped or rather suppressed to a box. I used strong colors to depict the strengths of women that come in all ways, it also shows feelings and emotions of past experiences flowing behind her. Her shape is to portray a natural nature while also being under pressure constantly but being able to find color and flow. This piece overall is to show how this woman has peace with her inner nature and has the acceptance of being a woman in the twenty-first century.
