I grew up just outside of Yosemite National Park, and from a young age have been intrigued by interpreting the outside world. As a kid, my friends and I would frequently spend our days using watercolor and pastels to find unique ways to draw nature around us, but it wasn’t until I went to Stevenson that I began taking art more seriously. Freshman year I took my first art class and was intrigued by the different ways of drawing and painting things. I’d never realized that there were so many different types of art and how much fun all of them could be to experiment with. Now in my senior year of high school I’m working to better my techniques and expand my creativity through as much art as possible.
