What I love to achieve through my art is some semblance of emotion and familiarity. I love creating worlds that I will someday share and inspire other artists like so many have inspired me. Expressing myself with my artwork is something I really enjoy, it helps me gather all of my thoughts and see what comes out onto paper.

Painting is usually a medium I don’t practice often, so when I do use it I like the experiments I can try with my works. It’s always a struggle to remember which layer I have to paint first, but I’m getting better at it. Whenever I revisit the medium  it gives me so many ideas I want to be able to make, unfortunately I don’t have the best attention span to dwell on some of those ideas.

I use a lot of my dreams to draw my creativity from, most being vague characters I imagine and build on to create stories from. However there are also places that I dream of that make me feel like I’ve been there before despite never having seen it from my knowledge. It always gives me a sense of nostalgia that I always wonder where it comes from. I remember seeing these old camera films that tinted the pictures a purple hue that made everything look beautiful, it made me really want to get into photography. I want to get better at my composition and picturing landscapes, which led me to recreate this piece I once felt nostalgia and mystery from.
